General Servicing with Blower Removal Cleaning**
At Maxicool, we practice Blower Removal Cleaning** during General Servicing.
The blower is one of the main component of a wall mounted unit. It is in the shape of a round black tube which is connected to the fan motor. The main function of the blower is to move the air across the coils for cooling.
Other than the coils and filters, the blower is where the dust/dirt/mold usually accumulates. Dirty blower results in ineffective airflow and sometimes vibration/noise as the accumulation of dirt sets the blower off balance.
As compared to brushing the blower at the unit, blower removal facilitates the washing of blower with detergent and water which results in a more thorough cleaning.
Fret not when blower removal is not possible.
We will brush the blower using a brush which is connected to a vacuum.
In this way dust/mold released into the environment during the brushing process is reduced as the vacuum does its work.
**Blower Removal Cleaning is Subjected to the Below:
1) Brand/Model - Some brands/models do not allow removal of blower unless unit is fully dismantled which falls under the job scope of Chemical Overhaul.
2) Location of Unit - We need some space to remove the blower from the unit. Some units are located near to fixtures which might hinder the removal.
3) Shaft is not Rusty/Jammed - Blowers are fixed onto a shaft and sometimes the shaft is rusty or the fit is too tight. We will not proceed removal for such cases to avoid damaging the blower.
Our friendly service engineers will assess your units onsite and advise if blower removal is not possible.
